Dale -

My wife and I did a similar trip last summer except we started in Seattle and looped through Wyoming, S.D., NE, CO, TX, NM, UT, ID, OR etc... Great time for both of us and we really appreciated our van, Mr. Sniffypalms.

If you can get out of Canada for a while, drop into Wyoming to see Devils Tower. Awesome volcanic remnant of another age. Beautiful...

Re: Olympic Nat'l Park... there are plenty of gas stations around thep perimeter of the park. One cool spot to check out is Hurricane Ridge, just out of Port Angeles. Incredible views of the Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, and the Cascade range...

Also, look and ask about the Hot Springs around the north end of the park. Good for soothing travel weary bones and muscles.

If you need a place to stay for a night or two, P-mail me back and we can hook up. We're just north of Seattle in the little town of Lake Stevens....

Have fun
