Good evening,

My wife and I will be heading from Virginia to the Atlantic Provinces later this week for a three to four week trip. According to our schedule, we may even make the Litchfield Bug-In or the International Westfalia Camping-Car Club Rally in Compton, Quebec.

In preparation, we have put the van in what we hope is great shape, have printed the recommended repair shop listing from the Vanagon.com site, and are bringing our Limbo resource booklet. In a separate message, I will detail some of the tweaking I did to the van to make the camping experiences more pleasant--things like enhanced interior lighting, shower, etc.

This will be our first trip to the Atlantic Provinces and our travel schedule is wide open. Our initial thought is to take the ferry from Portland, Maine to Nova Scotia and start our exploration from there.

We would be appreciative for any hints, advice on great places to stay, must see sites, etc. Like most of you, we love driving down scenic roads, going to quaint places, staying in beautiful camping areas, and avoiding the large crowds. Of course, we do realize that many times there are large crowds because there is something wonderful to see or do.

Thanks,

Harold Teer teerhb@jmu.edu 1991 Westfalia Vanagon
