That's basically the idea. The air bags, compressor, controller, gauges, air tank would all be the same. The only thing that needs to be done is designing some brackets to mount the air bags to the suspension. Air Lift has a "bolt on - remove if you don't like it" paradigm. That makes it a little more complicated for the engineers. It's not going to be a cheap slap-on job.

thanks for the info peter, i already have the load assist and it works perfectly, so i can definately recommend this system to other vanagon owners.

is there any way to adapt the bug system to the van? maybe put two air shocks on each wheel?
