Anthony,

The last time my AC needed a hose, I got it custom made at the AC shop and it ran me about $50 for the hose and both fittings. The VW price was something like $350 for the same hose with the same US fittings on it. From what the AC guy told me, all ACs use the standard US fittings and threads.
