It's okay to add Dexcool, you just won't be getting the benefit of the
five year longevity it offers.  It is ethylene glycol based and
phosphate free, so it is compatible.

There are some green phosphate free antifreezes out there, but I would
completely drain, flush, and fill with Dexcool to start with a known
commodity.  This means removing hoses at the radiator and flushing all
old coolant out. 10% of the old stuff left behind will neutralize the
longevity of the Dexcool.

It's worth it!
