Hi All- Yes, I know I am the chief of the lurkers. But, I wanted to post to let everyone know that I recently (a week ago) purchased a Westy. 1988, 63,000 miles. Owned by an anal-retentive mathematician in Boulder Colorado. It has spent it entire life in either Denver of California

A really nice guy, with a nice family. I expect he and I will get out fishing before the summer progresses too far. They were bummed when I came to pick up the westy.

Nonetheless, it is in terrific shape. Works great, original manuals, all records. Two dings in rear wheel wells (tough time with turning radius at gas stations ;-). First week end trip 24 mpg. Unless the site is shut down you can see photos at www.netgnome.com/van

Cheers Mark
