I've recently purchased some hardware that measures vehicle horsepower and torque. It's called the 'Road Dyno' and ist basically hooks up to a plug wire and times the pulses and as you accerlate. THe info is then imported into a computer and a dyno graph is displayed. The only problem is I don't know the gear ratio's. From the archives I've found the final drive ratio to be 4.86 but I can't find any manual trany info. It's an '87 vanagon with the 4spd manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also from what I gather the vehicle weight is 3450 lbs emtpy? correct? Thanks Martin Musial |
