Yes, the Bentley is worth it. Even if you have NO mechanical inclinations, it is worth it to get to know your beast. Then when a mechanic tells you that you must replace this part or that part, you will have something to base your decision upon. The Bentley is not the best book ever published, and it leaves some procedures to the imagination, but it is definitely the best thing that we have. Suggestion: Go to ebay (www.ebay.com) and type in "Bentley Vanagon" into their search engine. They always (well almost always) have a Bentley manual or two for sale, and probably at a discount.
