A few volks have asked fr pictures of my dash cover and the non-VW side table in our van. I added the pics to Bev's web site: http://www.enter.net/~bloss/vw/bev.html (page down for both) The dash cover I got second-hand from a listmember, but I understand JC Whitney has these. I got a dark brown, which was not my first choice in color due to the heat absorbency, but the price was right. Nonetheless, it keeps stuff on the dash reasonably cool...certainly a lot better than the metal or plasticy dash. The side table is from Chris Turner (jordanvw@aol.com). I'm not sure if he has more like this. It's not a VW OEM piece, but it works. If you mount it on the sheet metal lip below the side molding, it is quite sturdy and folds flat against the wall. 4 screws and it comes off, allowing the middle seat to go in there. Actually, if you take the left armrest off the middle seat, the seat fits in without removing the table...a lot easier too...one screw. -Karl -- Karl & Kristina Bloss, Trexlertown, PA - '87 Weekender "Bev" - 198K Miles http://www.enter.net/~bloss/vw - vanagon@makarov.com VW Shop List: http://www.enter.net/~bloss/vw/vwshops PA/NJ/DE/MD area VW bus "group" http://www.enter.net/~bloss/vw/pavanagon Red Hat LINUX 6.2 - for IQs higher than 98 |
