Check your left front tire where the square speedometer cable goes through a square hole in the wheel bearing dust cover (just under the hubcap) There should be a very small spring clip through a very tiny hole in the cable with some sort of a spacer between this and the dust cover.

Mine was missing the spacer and the square hole in the dust cover was not very square because the PO beat it back on with a hammer at some point.

I flattened it out, used a small thick washer as a spacer, and have had no problems since.

Replacing the dust cover and getting the speedo cable through the hole can be a real PITA.
