Would that be OEM? Or an aftermarket sock?

I'm thinkin' 'bout tinkering behind the dash, too.

Looks like my speedometer (or "lackofspeedometer", as I call it) is a little out o' whack in it's housing. Also my fuel gauge disappears to the far right when I fill the tank... sits there for the longest time (about 75 miles), then dives for the middle where it sits till I fill up again. Too nervous to let it fall much lower... fill at about 200 miles... the PO told me once ran out before it hit the red (around 1/4 tank according to the gauge).

Anyone have any ideas on what I might do about the gauge? I'm not mechanically/electrically inclined in the slightest... simple advise or I'll be off to the mechanic or let it be.
