Hi MArc,

fan is not lubable readily. One end is, other is under fan hub. To lube drill TINY hole towards where you guess the bearing sits then blast with WD-40. Run off a spare battery to get it spinning free, then lube with OIL, WD-40 will just dry back on forming more rust. Did one like this and got halfway through the next winter.

This really isn't worth doing BTW, get an early series Rabbit front blower unit, complete with housing since they don't disassemble. Takes <5 minutes to pull it from a Rabbit. ABout $10 in the yards, and check out a couple with current if you get a choice. Dealer is $200? vendors are about $80. DIY and save.
