Tire desires... I have contemplated getting my needed tires over the border in Canada a while back and I was told the following: Yeah it may be a bit cheaper to get them there, but apparently new tires in Canada are marked with a color that the ass-toot border guys are on the watch for. If they catch you they will ask you to pay duties or tax or just give you a hard time. They may also find your 6 cases of "Upper Canadian Brewing Company" beer you had stashed away. Ok so you can just dring the beer and go take your Vanagon through the mud and don't wash it off until you cross back you may get away with it.
