Subject:      2000 Jetta rims on a Vanagon

My father has a 2000 TDI Jetta w/factory 15" wheels.  He is considering
putting 17's on his car.  Does anyone know if the 15" will fit on an 87
Wolfsburg?  I have heard people talking about the new Passat rims fitting,
but is there a word on the Jetta's?
Are they the same?
