In the US, the model year goes on sale the later part of the prior year. So 86's started to be manufactured and sold in 85. Outside of North America (I think Canada follows the US custom, but I'm not sure), what we call an 86 is called an 85, but they were manufactured in the same production run. So if you bought yours in later 1985, it should be a 1986 model, even if a salesman said it was an 85. If you look at your VIN, WV2ZB025xGHxxxxxx, the 10th character should be a G. This would mean it is an 86 model year. If it has an F in that position, it is an 85.

If it is an 86 according to the VIN, it should be a digifant. To be sure, check the wiring diagrams in the Bentley for a difference between 'jet and 'fant and see what yours has.
