Why spend HOURS to remove a joint, go through a lot of anguish- hammering away, risking injury to self and the part, just to save about $35 for some proper tools???

See if the rental place has the tools for less $$

Get the proper tools and make the job is easy.

I was able to remove the tie rod end and the lower ball joint effortlessly with the proper tools AND with no damage to the parts or myself.

Hammering the parts with LOTS of force could damage them and could make the job more costly...

I am only saying this to save time and money.

The $4 spent on the tie rod extracter was worth it. In a couple of turns of the tool and it was out with no damage.

Robert
