I suspect that that's how the factory did it. I've got an 83.5 and an 84. Both have bolts on the end with the hose connection and studs on the opposite end. Admittedly a small sample, but both engines are 'virgins' so I have no reason to believe that it came any other way. BTW, I've tried all sorts of ways to get to the stripped bolt hole on the 83. The head HAS to come off to repair it. Drat!!! And the 'spare' head that I have is cracked. Double drat!!! Jim Arnott WetWesties Union, OR |
