I just went out and slid under my '81 Cal-model to refresh my memory. I've taken off the driver's side valve cover several times "in situ" and don't remember any particular problems. Looking at it, I can't see any difficulty; remove the bail and take the cover out over the heater box and catalytic converter. What problems are you encountering? --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tom Young tomyoung1@home.com Lafayette, CA 94549 '81 Vanagon --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Cooper" <Zcoop1@aol.com> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Friday, June 23, 2000 11:00 AM Subject: Valve cover gaskets
