For what it's worth, from window sticker: November 3, 1985, Chris Motors, Decatur, GA 1985 Westy (Vanagon GL Camper on the sticker) 17,190 Bronze Beige clearcoat metallic 350 AM/FM Stero cassette 575 Rear window wiper/washer 160 Center swivel seat w/ storage 250 Air conditioning 990 Destination charge 320 Total $19,835 I got it from original owner in Feb 1999 for $5500 with 65,000 miles. It had been in a garage most of its life and was in great shape. I now have about 85,000 miles on him (George) and have had no garage, so it has a little wear on it, but still runs well, and I love it. I have had to use it for a daily driver for most of the past year which I don't like, but can't avoid right now. Hope to correct that by end of Summer. From what I see on the list, I think I could get more now than I paid for it. Also I don't see too many Vanagons or Westy Vanagons around Atlanta either. Jim in Atlanta |
