When my wife spilled some hot chocolate on the inside of the poptop, I was successful in removing it with a Clorox "Cleanup." It doesn't have bleach in it. Next time I'm going to use dishwashing soap and water, however. > > Question 2: How can i treat the canvas to make it > waterproof? is the > wax based spray sold by Canadian Tire (or others) > good? I believe the trick to keeping it clean and mold-free is to dry thoroughly after use by leaving it in the sun. This is tricky in Oregon, but once in a while, it's possible. > > Question 3: When I plug the city water hose on the > van (faucet > closed) I see water dripping from the inside of the > van side wall > (over the gaz tank) is this normal? I have read on the list, and I agree, that it is probably best not to use the city water, as the system is not designed to handle the pressure. Some have recommended using a pressure regulator designed for RV's. I have found it easier to use the tank. 10 gallons goes a long way, and it keeps the water out of the cabinets and the back of the fridge where it's hard to clean up and could do damage.
