They retire to Bowen Island?

Bowen Island, BC ------------------------ Population: 2,500 Vanagons: 15 - 20 includes cargo vans, 7 pass., westies (lots), double cabs, syncros... ...and a diesel westy, of course! Probably even more vanagons than loaves!

Anything over 6'8" in height is considered "overheight" on the ferry (the only way on or off the island) and charged a *lot* extra for passage. A standard westy is exactly 6'8", so we all squeak under. Syncro westies are higher. There is not one syncro westy on the island--wonder why...
