Subject:      Canoe, To Thule or not to Thule?

Hey there. Long time no talk.  Recently married and taking the first family
trip in the Box.  I'm wondering if anyone has any experience mounting a canoe
on top of the vanagon.  Is using the Thule Rack, or the direct method
advisable?  Gotta get outta town fast before we melt.  Insights appreciated.
