Listees,

This is a very good question. It seems that there are pockets of Vanagons in certain parts of the continent. Other parts are relatively Vanagon-free. It is my unsubstantiated belief that Vanagon production averaged only slightly more per annum than Porsche 911 production of the same period. Can anyone substantiate this? If this is true, then we own limited production vehicles! (Don't expect the value of your Vanagon to double overnight if this revelation is true.)

As with Porsches, there are portions of North America that Vanagon rich and others that are Vanagon poor. I live in a Vanagon poor area (South Carolina). Therefore I drive my Vanagon as much as possible, wave at other Vanagon drivers, stay tuned to the list, maintain my Vanagon regularly and keep the Vanagon faith alive. Beyond this there isn't much that any of us can do.

Be glad that you don't see yourself at every stop light. It would decrease the desirability of your vehicle.
