Vapor color? Whats that? I just had my Vanagon painted. Its a 91. I wanted it to be the same white as the New Beetle, which is Cool White... whereas before the white used was Candy White while in 91 my van was painted Pastel White with no clear coat. Clear coats started with Candy White. This year they're using a mix of Cool White and Candy White depending on the model, however the Eurovan is and has been in Artic White while South African Vanagons are in Candy White. Well they said (the place that painted it) that the Cool White is so new that there isn't yet a color formula for it yet. So they had to order it from the manufacture (PPG). I still need to take it back to have it color sanded. It turned out pretty good. I'm not certain that its identical to the New Beetle, I'm going to wait until its color sanded to make the comparison. It had some minor body work done and the front and rear fiber glass bumpers had their cracks fixed and were painted as well. I had the door jams done as well. I'm pretty happy with it. I had it all done for 1000 dollars. There are one or two very minor specs that they missed, but I was pressuring them to get it back to me by Wednesday of this last week. I just couldn't live much longer without transportation. The busses in Orange County are a maze and a drag. Now if I only had the money for those Rhein Wheels, tint (any suggestions on choice of tint?), fixing the AC, putting in pop up vents by SFC in the rear on either side of the AC thing/venting tunnel (any suggestions on who could do this work in Southern or even Northern California? These vents or mini sunroofs come in 17 x 17 or 14 x 9, which opens or pops up on the 14 inch length), putting in an alpine alarm with keyless entry and pager with a toggle added so I can turn off the alarm while keeping the pager active (for areas with noise abatement laws when I now there will be security, like a parking garage for an office tower), not to mention a totally bitchen stereo system (PPI, MB Quart, Alpine, JL Audio). Can anyone lend me some money?
