In the quest for an engine upgrade, I am researching fast german auto's performance products for the stock Vanagon 2.1 engine.

1. Performance chip (new) 2. 1.25 rockers 3. Header/exhaust 4. Custom valve heads

I have read comments regarding some of these products and resulting performance. But I would like to find someone in the Chicagoland area who has installed some or all of these modifications and meet and ideally test drive this for myself as well as get any other hands-on feedback. If your in the multi-state area around Chicago please contact me.

If anyone else has direct experience with these modifications please email me directly if you feel this was discussed already on this list.

Thanks, Lee
