I have an expansion valve and evaporator that were working when the seal blew on my compressor if you're interested.

On Sun, 25 Jun 2000, Jeff Hammerstrom laid this bit of wit and wisdom upon us: > > I need to replace my AC Compressor, Receiver/Dryer and Expansion Valve on my '90 Westie Camper. How much of the cabinet needs to be removed? Are any special tools required for removal of the Expansion Valve? Does the clothes closet need to come out? I may take the cabinet out to save some $ but I'm having the rest of the work done by whatever AC shop I can find do it for reasonable dollars. After looking into it I think I'm sticking to R-12. Any good/cheap AC shops in Seattle? > > Thanks > Jeff H >
