Subject: Spark plugs looking pretty carbon-y
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi Volks:

Today was only the second nice day we've had in a row this summer, so it was time to do more Westy service.

I removed a spark plug, and compared it to the colour pictures in the back of the Haynes manual (great thing, that manual!).

The closest picture to my spark plug is the one indicative of rich running - it has black sooty deposits, and so does my plug, definitely.

Thinking with the keyboard as my voice, I think:

I gotta remove all the plugs to check their condition - as I may have a bad injector..right?

I gotta use my digitool, and see what the sensors say - right?

Assuming my sensors readings are OK - what else could cause this?

( I know a crummy O2 sensor could - but I'll test that one with the digitool)

Thanks in advance!
