Subject: Vacuum Pump Questions Cont./ 1.6L Diesel
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

well volks, Thanks to everyones' help and the those fine people at Camelback VW I have ordered the part I had originally posted needing help with the identification. Now, what I would like to ask the list(or better I should ask the fantastic people who supprt it) is what do I need to know about fixing the vacuum pump cap on my Vanagon Diesel. I thought that I might purchase a pump rebuild kit from Ron at Bus Depot and do it myself since I am going to have it apart and my brakes have been taking longer than they did in the past to get the feeling when the power brakes kick in anyway. Does this sound like a good idea or should I just replace the cap? Also, any help on doing both or either of these jobs would be much appreciated, if there is anything I need to know about either of these jobs please let me know either here or by e-mail at s_rippey@excite.com

Thanks, Seth
