I was hoping to read some more responses to Dennis' question about jacking.
When I jack up the rear, I put my floor jack under the trailer arms, and
alternately raise the left and right till I get the height I need. (there are
embossed areas on the bottom surfaces of the trailer arms, and since I can
see no other purpose for them, I think that's the reason they're there). I
interpret the Haynes book as to saying you can put a block of wood under the
transmission and jack there - although I've never tried it. And I'm not so
sure about the Haynes book here anyway, since it says when jacking up the
front, to remove the "under engine tray" - do they mean the spare tire tray?
I think I remember reading once that some people use the cross member behind
the spare tire (in the center) to jack up the front.
