The seal must indeed be tight against the top, but there is no way to "adjust" this, the position of the brackets and bolt holes is fixed. Water drains out the back corners at the bottom edge of the rack. If you look closely, you will see the gaps on both sides under the pop top front edge and just behind the end of the rack seal. If the seal is not tight across the front, wind noise will be horrendous. That is why the seal is there in the first place.

I used the bulb type seal from Rocky Mtn. Motorworks, if the one you got won't seal, just buy the rack seal from RMM, it's cheap.

Regarding the hot footwell, I don't know about a kit, but it is usually a problem with the heater valve not closing off all the coolant flow. Also a cheap and easy replacement. Ken at http://vanagain.com has them and instructions. -- Stuart MacMillan
