Subject: cleaning the canvas
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" ; format="flowed"

Hi all

Another set of questions from a new westy owner

Question 1: What is the best stuff to clean the canvas on the pop top. My 81 vas has some black stripes made by the pop top seals. I want to clean it carefully and then put some waterproof treatment.

Question 2: How can i treat the canvas to make it waterproof? is the wax based spray sold by Canadian Tire (or others) good? Am I gonna regreat putting this stuff?

Question 3: When I plug the city water hose on the van (faucet closed) I see water dripping from the inside of the van side wall (over the gaz tank) is this normal?

Thank's François Vézina M.Sc.
