All I know for sure is: Don't go to the VW dealership in Santa Monica, they're a rotten bunch of @$$0000s!!!! I have only had mediocre to bad experiences with garages here in L.A., period, and especially the Vanagon... I hear , though, that Bug Alley, somewhere around Broadway and 20th , in Santa Monica are real VW-Lads, I have only seen their garage at night, as I happened by and took a look, and there were truckloads of Vanagons standing in their yard. I asked my friend about them and he says they had a real good reputation for VWs. I also hear that as they fix your van, they also hook you up with some pimp stories about hippie outings back in the days...don't schedule too many Hollywood tete-a-tetes for that day, maybe, as you'll have trouble making them. That's pretty much all I know, but it'll be my next spot for a tune up. Let me know what you find out...

Greetings
