Subject: Vanagon Accessory?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Today while I was out visiting my wasserboxer, I was looking through the few decrepit hulks of wrecked Vanagons (creepy!), and I found three things. One of them is now my third Vanagon, a silver '86 GL Weekender with the nifty three-piece side windows with screens, power mirrors, and a premium factory stereo. The second thing was a good front blinker and lower grille for my dieselbox. The third, and most unusual item, is what appears to be a "jailbar" assembly that fits in the rear window of a Vanagon. It's chromed, and of good quality construction, and fits the rear window perfectly. Was this piece an actual VW accessory, or just a nifty retro aftermarket goodie for T3 Transporter fans? Still looking for a tan driver's seat with the zigzags. :)

- Sean L.
