The parts counter at Phoenix said that cam was part of the the throttle body. I asked them if they were sure and they said yes, so if there is a seperate part number, fie on them! This may be the price one must pay for not having their own personal copy of the VW parts CD and the hardware required to run it. I remember thinking how odd it was that a wear part that that is held on a shaft with a locking washer was not replaceable. Also, it was pretty obvious that the switch that I was given as a replacement did not have the identical physical dimensions as the one it replaced. The new switch did not fit the old cam. Ken W. said he will try to locate cams, it will be interesting to find out how many different combinations are available. John-Reed
