I followed a thread this spring that debated this issue and decided that I would -- if I could, but I can't ( at least not for long). Speaking of long --- I don't have any extension cord long enough to drive with the fridge on AC as you suggest :-) Apparently there are problems with DC as well --- every time you shut your engine down you lose colling for a half hour or so. The listees who do drive with the propane going seem to be able to do it without the homemade baffle that you suggest.
