My pleasure! I've felt the same way every time I've been helped by other friendly list

members.

This list is like a dream come true. Since I've joined, I've come to understand by vanabomb (too many costly bomb$$$$$ along the way...) much better, to an extent that I can fix many small electrical problems, get out of trouble in weekend trips (sometimes just false warning alarms and fuses blown) and most importantly, I come into my VW garage knowing better than them what should be done, and not letting them charge me $$$$$$ for useless replacements (believe me, I've caught them more than once)! Since I don't want to part with my beloved and very functional self camperized (albeit a bit unreliable...) vanagon, the only solution is to get to know it better.

Actually, I myself have a long occuring starting problem, which I currently believe is the result of TWO problems: alternator charging deffiency (due to lack of remote sense battery is not fully charged) and marginal ignition switch. More to come in a near post to the list.

Be more specific so I can understand your meaning. The vanabomb is like a well without a floor... Just hang on to the list and you'll learn a lot.

Cheers, T-man

(P.S.: appologies if this response came rather late, as I'm practically swamped with incoming mail...)
