Peter, Thanks for responding. I have a bone stock 233/G3/MT/OS 8.1 with 32 MB of RAM. My System Profiler does not show the VRAM which is also as delivered from Apple. This is one of the last of the Beige G3's and it has not been without it's problems. I am getting ready to switch to a high speed connection so, I want to try to optimize the performance of this dated (in less than 2 years) piece of gear. Rich
