Figuring that the Mac users will read this and the darkside users will ignore it, I'll offer the list a couple of links for Mac questions. This will keep them off the Vanagon list (mandatory Vanagon content!!!) and keep the 'others' from complaining.

Link 1.) <http://www.lowendmac.net> Links to more Mac info than you'll EVER read. Everything from Apple []s to the latest G5s. (Yes, G5. Got a beta tester on the PM list.) Lists are almost as busy as this one and about as dependable as Gerry used to be.

Link 2.) The allmacs list on the egroups server. A nice friendly small list. Probably less than a hundred members, but with a couple mixed platform system administrators who really know their stuff. You can subscribe by sending the famous 'empty' message to <mailto:allmacs-subscribe@egroups.com>

Link 3.) For factory service manuals for your Mac hardware, point your browser to Gamba's site. They're not nearly as complete as a Bentley, but Bentley doesn't do Macs! <http://www.accesscom.com/~gamba/>

There are a ton more Mac sites out there. Many of them are linked from the LowEndMac site. And lastly, remember the Discussions bulletin boards on Apple's site. There you just might get your questions answered by Apple's knowledgeable tech people. (Note: I said 'tech people', not tech support people. There IS a difference.)
