Never seen any foam pads

Mine had 2 little rubber bumpers (not to be confused with rubber baby buggy bumpers) on each of the big metal straps under the tank. I would think any foam that you would put on the tank (under the vehicle) would rot pretty quickly in the mud/water/heat/cold.
