There is a slot in the stock hubcap that allows the valve stem to stick out far enough to get to with the air chuck. Easy to air if the hubcap is installed correctly. If not, it's a giant PITA.

Alternative: get valve stem extenders. Work great, and provide easy access.

But don't through away your hub caps out of frustration!!!
