The following information might be helpful before replacing the pump. Recently, the evening before leaving on a long trip in my vanagon, I put some water in the tank and tried the pump. To my dismay, I found that the pump didn't work. After taking the pump out, I gently turned the impeller a few resolutions with the tip of a screwdriver. On reconnection, the pump worked great and performed without hesitation for a long vacation where I filled the water tank about 5 times. My thinking is that after my last use of the water tank, water dried somewhere on the impeller shaft and left a mineral deposit that froze the impeller shaft enough that the small motor couldn't turn it. I believe by turning the impeller, I broke the mineral deposit connection. Anyway, it may be worth a try.
