Hi, Volks -

I was following the Bus Depot replacement tank specs discussion (was 'Baffled Tanks') with some interest. I've noticed the slight 'whiff' of gas fumes from the RHS of my 87 Westy GL on warm days (yes, we sometimes have warm days in Labrador), and I'm thinking fuel tank seal...my problem is figuring out which one is most likely to be the culprit w/o commiting to a full dismantling of the fuel tank w/o parts on hand.

Does the List have any wisdom as to 'most likely culprits' on this count? I've checked the easily accessible evaporation/return tanks under the wheel wells, and all seems well...is the fuel sender seal or some other component known for its propensity for failure?

Regards,
