I have a non-standard air conditioner bolted into my 1987 Syncro Camper. It appears to be an aftermarket unit with the condenser located in the dashboard, with two extra vents in the middle where the radio usually sits. It appears that the line going to the clutch has a small connector on it that isn't plugged into anything. This, it would seem, could be a prime reason for why the engine cuts out when the A/C is switched on. I have been fine-tuning the idle setting to reach a compromise between high-revving at no load and stable idle with A/C on. But I'm not solving the real problem.... I have been studying the Bently to see where this is going wrong. On page 97.107 I see the wiring diagram for the Idle Stabilizer on my system. on page 97.141 I can see the Air Conditioner diagram. SO MY QUESTION IS THIS: Which line on the Idle Control unit am I supposed to plug this A/C Clutch-Line into? On the 97.141 page, a connector goes to 'The Idle Stab. Control'. This is my free line mentioned above. And by the T1a location, I am supposed to find it on the left side of the engine bay. I can't figure out by the diagram on page 97.107 which line I am supposed to connect this to. Both locations T1k and T1h are single connectors in the left side of the engine bay. But which one do I use? If anyone has had as similar experience I'm all ears.
