I don't know about counter weights, but there is a way to lift the pop top without straining your back so much. You can use the front heater fan to assist you in raising the pop top. Close up the van completely, all windows, doors, top vents. The poptop screen has to be closed. Turn the front heater fan on 'max', so it pumps air in from the outside. Now raise the poptop. The air pressure inside the camper will help you to raise the poptop. Harald '90 westy ---------- > From: W.
