I removed my "chrome" trim about 9 years ago without any issues with leaking
etc..  I originally purchased new trim from my local dealer to replace the
old stuff but after I took the old stuff off I liked what I saw so I didn't
install the new trim.   I am a bit unnerved by Frank's report of loose
windows though.  I didn't figure those little trim beads could be anything
more than for appearance.   Can anyone confirm Frank's "research"?


BTW... It is my recollection that '87 and new vans came with a black trim...
or at least one or another year in there.  Using the black would be an option
to keep the the blacked out look which I prefer with my dark tinted windows.
