While waiting for the paint on my top to dry, I installed new KYB's on my '87 Westfalia.

The front shocks that came off were some brand of gas shock, and they were still somewhat stiff. The rears were the original Boge's, and they were barely fit to be used as screen door closers.

I installed the GR2's in front and the Gas-Adjust's in the back (as doing the reverse wouldn't work). The rear shocks seem to make more of a difference. The van still leans in turns, but it's road manners over bumps and dips are improved.

I am still running the incorrect passenger car tires from the PO, and these are likely the culprit for the continued wallowing in turns and general land yacht handling. I'm saving up my money for a set of Michelin MXT's, hoping Sears is going to have a sale on these (which I doubt).

Dan
