IMO, there are not huge differences between brands which carry the same API rating, but if you're in the habit of taking extended trips, why not switch to synthetic oil which will allow you to extend your oil change intervals?

I use Mobil 1, 15W-50, and change it at around 8,000 mile intervals more or less.
