Well, there we have it. The whole conversion issue is about just that -- convenience!

You're right. It is a lot easier to put in a used motor than to rebuild the existing one correctly. Heck, we do live in a disposable society. Everything from diapers to marriage, when it becomes inconvenient, it is thrown away. That is the exact notion with which American cars were built.

Should I point out the fact that if you are unable to maintain your vehicle properly, perhaps you should not be driving it? Isn't that how Japanese imports took over the Beetle's market?
