I think I can clear up some of the questions about SA Mud Flaps now.
The ones pictured on the SA VW site seem to be after purchase add
ons. They attach with clips like the ones we can get here in the US.
I *beleive* that these are, or are very similar to the ones that Ron
Salmon sells (but you have to check it out with him).

The Flaps I sell are the OEM heavy duty flaps that come with the
Vanagons from the factory. They are MUCH heavier duty, and attach in
a completely different way, and are more expensive. My flaps use
brackets and holes in the body to attach...these are unlikely to slip
off easily.

I also now have all of Jeff's answer's concerning installation (after
nearly going blind reading my microfiche. The installation is
straight forward, but is definately more involved than the other
"clip" style.

I will be able to get all the flaps that anyone on the list desires,
but I'm not sure of the pricing yet. But they will be UNDER $200 and
probably closer to $160 for the set. (I can't believe the price that
Robert was quoted!)
