Subject: are grommets for USA mudflaps available?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Having just removed the VW-installed mud flap in front of the propane tank and behind the driver's side front tire on my westy I see the top vertical part of the mud flap has pins that enter into the body via two rubber grommets. The grommets are similar to the rubber wire grommets you use when snaking wires through the body--but the mudflap grommet is sturdier.

Turns out I think these are the grommets I need to complete the installation of the SA mudflaps which have a similar pin that goes into the body but in a different spot. Does anyone know if these grommets are available in the US without buying the entire US mud flap at $100 a piece? I'll check the dealer tomorrow, but I'll sleep alot better tonight is someone knows if they are available. And of course do any of the vendors carry them?

TIA Jeff 83.5 Westy NYC
